Services
Private buyer-side research for used construction equipment in Europe. Independent asking-price analysis, second-opinion listing reviews, and market research — for buyers working without a dealer on their side.
Buyers working through a purchase decision
You have found a machine you are considering and want an independent view on whether the asking price is reasonable relative to active comparable listings, and what the key risks are before you travel to inspect.
You are researching a model or category before deciding on a specification. You want context on the current asking-price landscape, what typical machines look like at various price points, and what to look out for.
You are close to a decision and want an independent check — a structured review of the asking price, the listing details, and the key questions to ask the seller before you commit.
Request types
Most enquiries fall into one of these categories. If yours does not, send a brief description and we will advise on what is possible.
You provide a listing URL or listing details. We review the asking price against current active comparable listings, summarise where it sits in the observed asking-price range, and note the key risk flags specific to that machine.
You provide a specification — model family, year band, hours band, geography. We review what is currently active across European listing platforms against your spec and provide a written summary of what the market looks like.
You are researching a model or category before committing to a specification. We review the current asking-price landscape for that model family, including typical condition patterns and what tends to affect price position.
You want to know where a specific asking price sits relative to active comparable listings. We run the asking-price benchmark and provide the observed asking-price range with context on what drives variation.
What you receive
A written brief delivered by email. Scope and turnaround are confirmed before work begins. There is no obligation until scope is agreed.
Briefs are scoped to the specific request — a listing review is shorter than a category research brief. Scope is confirmed in advance so there are no surprises.
What it is not
These boundaries matter. MachineryAssistant is a research and analysis service. It is not any of the following.
MachineryAssistant does not represent buyers or sellers, negotiate on anyone's behalf, or make introductions to sellers. Research is analytical, not transactional.
Written briefs are asking-price benchmarks, not certified valuations. We compare a machine's asking price against active comparable listings — we do not certify what a machine is worth.
Research briefs do not include comment on financing, leasing, VAT treatment, or payment terms. Those are separate decisions requiring specialist advice.
MachineryAssistant does not handle any aspect of a purchase — contracts, payments, logistics, or registration. Research ends at the point of analysis.
Briefs reflect active listings and asking prices at the time the research is conducted. Machine condition, listing availability, and asking prices can change. No research brief constitutes a purchase guarantee or condition certificate.
Confidentiality and process
All enquiries and research briefs are handled privately. MachineryAssistant does not publish client names, machine details, or research content from private engagements.
The Daily Bulletin reports are separate — they cover publicly listed machines and are published openly. Private research is entirely distinct from public editorial content.
Send a brief description of what you need
Describe the machine, specification, or question you are working through. We will respond with whether and how we can help — or point you to the right free resource if that is the better answer.
